Four Reasons Man United Could Look to Replace Winger After Jadon Sancho Snubs Ten Hag Meeting

Jadon Sancho, a star for Manchester United, reportedly declines when asked to meet with manager Erik ten Hag. The winger’s unwillingness to play on the right wing is reportedly one of four factors that have soured his time at Old Trafford.

The biggest falling out so far occurred last weekend when Ten Hag admitted the 23-year-old was left off the team to play Arsenal because of his subpar performance in the weeks building up to the game in training. With a lengthy response on social media, Sancho retaliated and insisted that there were more to the reasons for his absence.

After the transfer market closed on Thursday, Sancho was rumored to be considering a move to the Saudi Pro League, but he is still with United. New information, however, does not bode well for his long-term future with the Red Devils.

According to a source at United, Sancho’s tenure at the club has failed for four reasons. The winger’s bad attitude and ‘appalling’ time management are the first two explanations.

However, the next two arguments may be the most damaging. Sancho allegedly declines when asked to meet Ten Hag, according to TalkSPORT.

Sancho, according to the source, thinks he is entitled by ‘God-given right’ to start for United, but only as a left-sided winger. According to rumors, he is unwilling to play in any other position for Ten Hag, especially right winger.

On the left side, Sancho is now preceded by Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford. The optimum place for Rashford, in the opinion of many, is off to the left, so Sancho is unlikely to get his wish any time soon.

Sancho’s United deal has three more years to run. He earns £350,000 a week, making him the club’s highest-paid player, according to Spotrac.

However, United appear to have four grounds for considering moving Sancho at some point in the near future. Darren Bent, a former England striker, said Sancho is only responsible for himself.

He said: “How he gets it back, he needs to look at himself in the mirror and say ‘Am I doing absolutely everything that I can, maximising everything that I’ve got to get into this Manchester United side?’. Clearly, he’s not. He’s got the ability to turn it around but we just haven’t seen it.”
